For over 40 years, Rural has been involved with the WIAA State Boys and Girls Basketball Tournaments as a sponsor of game telecasts. This sponsorship has more recently expanded to also include statewide football, hockey and wrestling tournament telecasts.
At Rural, we believe there's something more important than just winning or losing a tournament. We believe that the team, school and fans who play the game with dignity and class are the true champions. That's why Rural has proudly sponsored the WIAA/Rural Sportsmanship Award for over 20 years.
Rural Mutual Insurance Companys' support of the Wisconsin 4-H has also become a proud and longstanding tradition. Since 1983, Rural has sponsored the 4-H Mechanical Science Contests which include the annual 4-H Tractor Safety Contest which seeks to educate 4-H members in the safe operation of farm tractors. Rural has sponsored the Wisconsin 4-H Key Award since 1977.
